MTH GROUP: Anders Heine Jensen appointed as CEO of MTH GROUP

The Board of Directors of MT Højgaard A/S announces that Anders Heine Jensen will take up the role of President and CEO of MTH GROUP no later than 1 March 2019. He will replace Torben Biilmann, who resigned from his post with effect from today (16 August), as already announced.

 Anders Heine Jensen is 54 and has been CEO of Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S (BWSC) since 2011. He has first-hand knowledge of MT Højgaard and MTH GROUP as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of MT Højgaard A/S and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Monberg og Thorsen A/S since spring 2017.

Søren Bjerre-Nielsen, Chairman of MT Højgaard A/S, says:

Anders Heine Jensen will spearhead the effort to drive forward the improvements in operations and earnings, particularly in MT Højgaard’s Danish business, in order to realise the company’s significant potential.

Anders Heine Jensen holds an MSc in Mechanical from DTU and an HD in International Business from CBS. He previously worked at Ørsted (DONG Energy) and A.P. Møller-Mærsk and has special expertise in infrastructure projects, management, strategy and project finance as well as solid management experience from energy and contracting companies. Anders Heine Jensen is a member of the Boards of Directors of Haldor Topsøe A/S and DI Energi as well as a member of the International Market Committee of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).

- With his leadership experience from other knowledge-intensive companies, tangible results and strong profile, Anders is absolutely the right man to add further strengths to the Group in a competitive market. He comes from an industry that has many similarities with construction and civil engineering, and with his thorough knowledge of MT Højgaard’s challenges and strengths, he will be able to make a difference from day one in the job. Anders Heine Jensen says:

- I know the company from the inside from eighteen months as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and I know that there is a large, untapped potential, which I look forward to realising together with the Group’s management and its many competent employees.

Until the new CEO takes over, the management of the company will be handled by the chairmanship in close collaboration with Group management.

On his appointment as President and CEO, Anders Heine Jensen will resign from the Board of Directors of MT Højgaard A/S.
